Incoloy 840 Pipe NAS H840/UNS S33400/1.4847 Nickel Alloy Electric Heating Tube
Product Description
Incoloy 840 PipeAlloy 840 (S33400) is an austenitic stainless steel containing titanium and aluminum, containing enough chromium to form and maintain a sufficient scale of chromium oxide to protect it at high temperatures, and is more resistant to high temperatures than traditional chromium-nickel stainless steels such as 304; The higher nickel content gives it better oxidation resistance than standard Type 18-8 stainless steel, and its oxidation resistance is no less than that of higher grades of alloys using temperatures up to 1900 degrees Fahrenheit (1038°C). Therefore, 840 (S33400) alloy is an ideal material for electric heating pipes, automotive emission control systems and other high-temperature products.
It is widely used in high-temperature and electric industry, medical devices, construction, chemistry, food industry, agriculture, and ship components. It also applies to food and beverage packaging, kitchen supplies, trains, aircraft, conveyor belts, vehicles, bolts, nuts, springs, and screen mesh etc.
Application of Incoloy 840 Pipe:
Because of its formability, weldability, corrosion resistance and oxidation resistance, 840 alloy is a common electric heating pipe material, used in the manufacture of electric heating tubes, heat exchangers, equipment heaters, industrial heating furnaces and other equipment, and also commonly used in automotive exhaust systems.
